Anastacia Newkirk is an amazing and talented artist and you might know her from the songs: "Im Outta Love", "Left Outside Alone" and "Pieces Of A Dream". It took a long time for Anastacia to come into the music-buisness, the labels didnt gave her an contract because they thought she would never score a hit. Her voice was 'weird', she had glasses, she was small, she had a scar that she didnt want to hide...
But all those things made her the amazing artist that she is today. After years of trying to get a deal, she got one with Sony, they gave her the oppertunity to make an album the way she wanted it. Her first single "I'm Outta Love" became a huge hit in Europe, Australia and Asia. She got a large group of loving fans. After winning the MTV Europe Music Awards for Best Pop that group grow larger. She was soo happy that she won, she was crying and laughing at the same time, she took her sister on stage, started to sang I'm Outta Love and everobody sang it with her. She thanked everyone, her fans, manager, Sony... From that moment I was a real fan. At the awards you could really see that she really loves her fans, and what a nice woman she is!
Her first album, Not That Kind sold around 4 million copies.

Her second big hit was the first single from her second album, "Freak of Nature"--> Paid My Dues. She also got to do the official song from the World Cup 2002 Korea/Japan. The song is called 'Boom'. Freak of nature sold worldwide 6 million copies, 280.000 from them where sold in the US.

But then, on Janury 2003 Anastacia got the horrible message that she had breast cancer. They found out very early but the cancer was arrissive and the doctors wanted out as soon as possible. [Myself, I was very schoked about it, I have alot of fans in my msn-list and we talked about it much. I know what cancer does to you, and I feld so very sad for her. I wanted to help her, and the only way to do that, is to support her. Alot of fanbooks where written, and things like "Bright Days Ahead" where made to show Anastacia that we are here] After the opatration and treatment Anastacia, family, friends and us got the news that the operation was succesfull!
Anastacia does alot for young women with breast cancer now, like the Anastacia Foundation. Anastacia was a guest at "Woman Rock", and after a long time she performed again. The beuatiful song called "Heavy On My Heart". When I first saw that I was overwelmed. her voice was amazing, the song was very emotional... She was back.

Right now Anastacia is back with her new single "Left Outside Alone". Her new album titeled "Anastacia" is more rock music. Anastacia herself cals is Sprock -> Soul, Pop and Rock. The new single is doing good in Europe.

So far Anastacia has sold over 20 million albums wordwide. Currently her Greatest Hits album 'Pieces Of A Dream' is out. It contains all her hits, including a duet with Eros Ramazotti, and 2 new tracks: 'Pieces Of A Dream' and 'In Your Eyes'.
